Providing all employees with safe and healthy workplaces is an integral part of our long-term “Klöckner & Co 2020” Corporate strategy. A key element here is preventive health and safety.
To further improve health and safety at our Company, an international health and safety circle is hard at work developing appropriate initiatives for the entire Group. We include both our managers and workers in the implementation of such health and safety measures.
Our objective is to break away from a purely “technical" health and safety program and move toward an increased level of awareness of safety and the protection of health in the workplace. We are convinced that we can achieve more with clarification than with rules and force.
By supporting the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2012-2013 on “Working together for risk prevention” initiated by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) we take this claim into account and go on the offensive for safe and healthy workplaces.
